Trophies layout

This is a layout I created for the MercyTiara's 27 Day Challenge group on Facebook.  The challenge was to do a boy or masculine layout.  I don't do a lot of boy layouts (I should because I have 4 grandson's).  My grandson's live in Wisconsin and I live in Arkansas.  So, I am not with them on a day to day basis.  This was from a trip we took to Wisconsin in July, 2014.  I have had the picture sitting here waiting to be scrapped and this challenge gave me the push I needed.  I used a sketch from Lisa Echerd's 2015 Sketch Book page 19.  It helped with my scrappers block.  The entire layout is a bit wonky but one thing went on crooked so I purposely put things on wonky.  I do like how it turned out.  I think it is missing something.  I may revisit it later and figure it out and add whatever I figure out it is missing.  Suggestions would be GREAT.  :)   Thanks.

  1. Such a fun page! I love the title that gets right to the heart of the story and the karate men. Thanks for linking up your page and for the link to my sketchbook info!

    1. Lisa, I love your sketch book. It helps so much with scrappers block and want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to get it because I'm sure it will help them too. I plan on scrapping tonight and will probably use your book again. I would love to see a video tutorial or book on color and patter pairing. I struggle with plain vs. pattern, large pattern vs. small pattern, monochromatic vs. complimentary, etc.
