Valentine's box

This is a valentine's mailbox from the Silhouette online store.  3d valentine mailbox by Lori Whitlock Design ID #54153.  I made it bigger but I think it would have been fine the original size.
This is also for a challenge at http://www.blogquickquotes.com/

Friday Challenge 48

I also made 2 more in the original size for a friends girls.

Game Night

Layout I did of a checkers game my daughter and I were playing.  I used a plastic mesh thing from a kit I bought YEARS ago and never used because it was a newspaper themed kit.  I finally decided that if I wasn't going to use it as an extra extra read all about it type layout I should use it anyway.  The string is also from that same kit.  I can't remember the company that did these kits but I think I only got 2 or 3 before I stopped.  The paper is from a scraptastic kit (not sure which one) and the Game Night letters are wood veneer from another scraptastic kit.  The game piece is an ATC from a swap.  I have not journalled yet but it will simply say how much I love when we have a game night and that she thought she could beat me at checkers but I won.

Good Dogs

This is a layout I did back in July after a trip up north to see my kids for the 4th of July and granddaughter's birthday.  I never liked pit bulls and was unhappy that my daughter and granddaughter had them.  Well, I met them and fell in love with Rosco (top left).  Princess growled at me all week (I took her bedroom so she didn't like me).  They are both very well behaved, trained, do the cutest tricks and are very affectionate.

The title came from one of their tricks where my daughter holds up her hand and says one paw, the dog puts one paw in that hand.  She holds up the other and the dog puts the other paw in that hand.  Then she holds both hands up and says both paws and the dogs jump up with both paws.  Then she says good dogs and gives them a treat.

Unfortunately, my daughter and kids had to move and they moved to an area that does not allow pit bulls so they had to adopt them out.

The layout uses my stash and under the word "good" I used my homemade designer mesh.  I covered old chipboard letters that were all funky colors with kraft card stock and stamped the paw prints on them.  Then stamped the paw prints on the diagonal.

Babysitting?

My layout showing my daughter's idea of babysitting during my Methodist Women's club meeting.    I don't think I used a kit at all.  The was just a bunch of stuff from my stash that I am trying to use up.

Ballet Master's Class

This is a layout using the January 2015 This Must be the Place Scraptatic kit.  Almost everything is from the kit except the black waffle paper from Stampin` Up and the gold rick rack at the top & bottom of the happy paper.

This is a layout of my daughter with her Master's Class ballet instructor, Valerie Lantratrov from Russia.  He comes once a year to do a Masters Class at her ballet studio.  The story this year is that during barre work, Valerie was having to correct everyone but when he got to Laycie he just said, Yes Right!"  She was over the moon that she got it right.  The subtitle "It is good for your health" is just a thing he says to them when they are getting tired.  He tells them that as a way to nicely say hard work and exercise are good for your health so quit whining.  LOL

They all love him and are all VERY grateful that they get to have a class with him even if it is only once a year.

Birthday Dinner Tradition

This is a layout using the August 2014 Scraptastic Celebration kit.  The story is that for approximately the past 10 years we have gone to my daughter's favorite Mexican restaurant for her birthday dinner.  If you tell them it is your birthday, you get to wear a sombrero and get a free fried ice cream dessert and they sing Happy Birthday to you in Spanish (CumpleaƱos feliz) and rub ice cream all over your face (I know, gross).  I think everything was from the kit except the pop dots I put under the flag banner and the award tails to give them dimension.  Thanks for looking.
