Spring/Easter Cards for a swap

 The swap was to make 4 cards for your partner Spring or Easter or a mix of the two.

I made 2 Easter and 2 Spring and one to include a note for my partner.

I was able to use my egg rosettes that I have been making, which made me happy.

I also did a bunch of print & cut of the umbrella girl and the watering can in various sizes to gift my partner along with a few egg rosettes.

Easy No sew fabric flowers from Dollar Tree scarves

 

Fabric Flowers I made using Dollar Tree scarves.  If you are interested in the process, you can watch the very bad video here process video (I apologize in advance but I am terrible at videos)

Basically, I cut circles out of the scarves, layered them, added a button to the top, flipped the stack over and wrapped a rubber band around the button.  Added a piece of floral wire because I don't trust the Dollar Tree rubber bands.

Used a Dollar Tree pet brush to fray the edges of the flower to shabby them up.

Added a floral center and called it done.

I think I will add some tulle or lace to the next ones to just elevate the finished product.

Easter embellishments and a scalloped heart rosette.

I made a crepe paper rosette then cut an egg out of card stock to use as a template to trim the rosette into an egg.  Then I cut tulle to cover the egg.  Cut a bunny with my Silhouette Cameo (several layers).  Popped the bunny up on dimensional adhesive.  Then I added a bow and a pompom tail.

The bunny bows was cut out of a few files put together and altered to my liking.

The heart rosette is a cut file I created because I saw a die that I liked but it was a bit more than I wanted to spend so I created my own.  I was having trouble with it and reached out to Dreaming Tree they got back to me with a video on their channel about adding to a path.  It was using another program but it gave me enough information to go back to Silhouette and finally got it to work.
