Fair Parade - Alice in Wonderland

Our Studio for the Arts where my daughter and I take class entered in the county fair kickoff parade.  Our recital theme for this year will be Alice in Wonderland.  So, we did a float and all dressed up.  The cloggers wore cards and clogged though the parade.  This is a great feat for me.  52 year old and clogged five miles in August in Arkansas.  I was exhausted to say the least when all was said and done.
This is the layout.  Sorry for the glare on the two pictures to the right.  I have not mastered the photo taking of layouts to share very well.  Anyway, the first photo is of my daughter and her best guy friend.  The middle is of the Queen & Rabbit and the right photo is me & my daughter.  Not sure what line the paper is from.  It was in my stash with no brand strip on it.  If anyone recognizes it, I would love to know what line it is because I absolutely love it.  I would love to get more.
I put tags up top and in the bottom right corner that I cut from a Colorbök patterned paper pack that I got from Walmart.  It doesn't have a name other than patterned paper.  Used the tags in the bottom corner to put the title.

I found pictures on google of Alice in Wonderland charms.  I didn't have the charms so I print & cut them with my Silhouette Cameo then added Glossy Accents to make them shiny.  I then popped them up on pop dots.

I cut the title Randolph County Fair Parade out of my Silhouette Cameo and paper from Colorbök paper pack that I cut the tags from.  I then added glossy accents to help them pop off the page.
I added two tags that I did print & cut with my Silhouette Cameo and a couple of print & cut Alice's.  I added a sticker tea pot from a Miss Elizabeth's sticker sheet from a Teddy Bear Tea Party collection that I have had in my stash for over five years or more.

This is a layout with a picture of my daughter and the other teens in our church's Youth Group.  They call themselves the Firsties.  That is a combination of First (First United Methodist Church) and Besties (Best Friends).  Anyway, they all went to Ash Wednesday Service and took a picture showing off their ashes.  I wanted the paper to look like it had ashes on it so I splattered watered down black ink on it then dried it with my heat gun.  I like how it turned out.  Then I got the cross image with the ASH Wednesday on it from Google.  I did an outline of it in Silhouette Studio and then did a print and cut along with the palm branches, crown of thorns and gold cross.  I then created a shadow to the cross in Silhouette Studio out of the paper that I matted the photo on .  It looked like an ashy color.  The title "firsties" was cut with my Silhouette Cameo as well.  I did a print & cut of the yellow background with the same color as the cross and did a print & cut of the outline in the same green as the palm branches.  That way I didn't have to find card stock in the same colors. The font is Grilled Cheese ttf.  I printed the journaling including all the kids names.   After I took this picture I realized I had not put the date on it anywhere so I added a stamp in the bottom under the journaling with the date.

Elle's Studio Sketch Thursday

Sketch from http://ellesstudio.blogspot.com/2013/03/sketch-thursday_21.html

My interpretation of the sketch.

Some things I made for swaps over on Yahoo group Scrap-a-holics_Anonymous.  Still need to finish the recipe cards and blue flowers.  The Rain rain go away was inspired by a greeting card of a bunny gardening with a fence.  I changed it and added a sidewalk with a rain puddle and put the cloud & rain on the pull out journal card.  I think the stickles add a nice touch to the rain and sun.  The bucket list just happened.  I was going to do a bucket on one paper clip and a list on the other but when I cut the bucket out and was starting to put it together I thought, "How fun would it be to have the list IN the bucket?"  So, that is how inspiration is born.  The miss you card is just a simple Center Step card.  I love step cards.  The bunny was inspired by an Easter decoration that I saw in some magazine where there were bunnies on top of the words Happy Easter.  I did one layer of eggs with just easter and added grass.  Of course Silhouette Studio Online Store does not have a hanging bunny like I wanted so I made this little bunny from a coloring page.  The list I just made a rectangle and filled it with lines and the word List.  Silhouette Studio is great for designing things like this.

My new homemade clip it up.  It is a spinning shoe rack fro Walmart and name badge clips.  I want to get some shower rings as I think they will work better than the clips.  I thought about taking one of the baskets off and having it be just a two level one but as you can see I have a ton of stuff and need the third.  I am going to line the baskets so that I can put stuff in and it won't fall out.  I saw a video where someone used the lid from a gallon of ice cream but I don't buy ice cream by the gallon (would love to but would eat the entire thing and that is not good).  I bought a round basket from the Dollar Tree that I thought would work but it was too small.  If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

New York Layout

I was watching a YouTube video by Faith Abigail Designs on a Vegas Wedding album she is doing and thought it would be a great New York layout.  My oldest and youngest daughters and I are going to New York in June.  The last time I went with my two oldest daughters it too a year to do the album.  This time, I want to have a few general layouts done before the trip and be smarter about what is and what isn't scrapworthy.  I think my last album topped out at about 5" thick.  Plus I thought this would be a nice layout to put in my 2013 book with just the highlights of the trip.

This is a layout I did of my daughter showing off her gifts she got from her boyfriend.

The big heart, ribbon, and library pocket journal card are from a swap I participated in on a yahoo group scrap-a-holics Anonymous.  I am not sure who did the heart and ribbon.  My contribution to the swap was the library pocket.  The patterned paper is heidi grace designs "Forever Love/Flourishing Love"

I go work with Daddy layout

I have wanted to scrapbook this picture of my oldest daughter Allison when she was two years old for a long time.  She put on her daddy's hat, glove, socks and shoes and announced that she was going to go to work with daddy.  Such a daddy's girl.  Too cute then and now.
